Swimming is a brilliant way of staying fit as it holds so many health benefits (see: HERE), however some people are uncertain of how to make the most of the full body workout that comes with swimming. We are offering a brand new class to both members and non-members who want to advance in swimming, try something new and challenge themselves.
Swimfit is a brand new class coming to Andover Leisure Centre that transforms lane swimming and offers you a whole new pool experience. With the help of a qualified instructor you will discuss your individual goals, gain tips and get your very own workout programme that includes various strokes to try to help get you more from your swim.
If you are put off by the gym and are struggling to find ways to beat your new year’s resolutions, Swimfit provides a great alternative as each session can provide a workout that burns up to 400 calories!
Luckily for you we are offering free 30 minute taster sessions on Saturday 17th January at 12:10pm – 12:40pm and 12:45pm – 1:15pm. Book onto these tasters through this link HERE, and for more information on Swimfit, visit http://www.swimming.org/swimfit or visit us in the centre.
We are also offering 6 WEEK Swimfit programmes which are starting next week and run as follows:
- Monday 19th January: 12:15pm – 12:45pm and 12:45pm – 1:15pm.
- Wednesday 21st January: 7:30am – 8:00am and 8:00am – 8:30am.
- Thursday 22nd January: 12:15pm – 12:45pm, 12:45pm – 1:15pm and 8:25pm – 8:55pm.
