If you’re thinking of starting a studio class for New Year, we have two exciting events just for you. Do you feel like fitting in one last fitness class before over-indulging at Christmas? The Rapids is holding their annual Xmas Megamix on Christmas Eve, an event that will see studio instructor Sassi Page dancing her way to the North Pole and back!

This festive class consists of tracks from a number of programmes we offer in our timetable such as Bodyattack, Bodycombat, Bodypump, Zumba and Grit.

The class also provides the opportunity for those that want to be really festive to dress up. Studio instructor Sassi will be dressed in her best Santa suit and everyone is urged to join in the festivities and once the class has finished everyone has the chance to chat and mingle and have a well deserved coffee and mince pie.

Or if you are holding out for the New Year, on the 3rd January at Andover Leisure Centre we are holding a Les Mills studio class launch event for those who want to try something new. This is a FREE event for people to get a taste of classes like Bodybalance, Bodycombat, Bodyattack and Bodystep.

Bodybalance is a yoga-based class that will improve your mind, body and life. Bend, stretch and control your breathing through a series of yoga moves that are inspired by Tai Chi and Pilates. Bodybalance strengthens the body and leaves you feeling calm and centred.

Bodycombat is a high energy martial arts inspired workout. Burn the calories by punching and kicking your way through this non-contact class. As well as getting a high intensity workout, Bodycombat helps you embrace your inner fighter through learning Karate, Taekwondo and Kung Fu techniques. This class is great for releasing your inhibitions and stress.

Bodyattack is a high energy fitness class which is suitable for both beginners and intermediates. This class is athletics based and includes movements such as running, lunging, jumping, push-ups and squats to provide a calorie burning cardio and strength workout.

Bodystep combines basic stepping with moves like burpees, push ups and weight exercises to work the upper body. For a high energy, calorie burning workout that is filled with rhythm and flair, Bodystep is the way to go.

The Les Mills Launch event at Andover Leisure Centre is being held on Saturday 3rd January at 9:30am for a 10am start. Please note that you must book in advance and can do so at the Andover Leisure Centre reception or by calling 01264 347100.
